A concert from and with  Ines Thomas Almeida

Portuguese Fado is nowadays receiving more and more international recognition. New paths and forms are being searched for and invented. The tradition of Am├ília Rodrigues and Alfredo Marceneiro is now the departure point of what we might call the rising of a new Fado generation.

In the last few years we have seen lots of new exciting projects on german and international stages: from Ballett to Jazz, from traditional to modern instruments. New forms of Fado are being made - still, there is one which keeps untouched:  Fado as a classical concert with Piano and String Quartet accompaniment.

Stylish but passionate, full of exciting contenance or pure  expressive explosion: with this concert, Berlin-based portuguese singer Ines Thomas Almeida (described by the press as "exceptionally talented", "future Diva" and "with real passionate temperament and powerful voice range"), manages to bring Fado to a new level, where both Tradition and Future meet and mutually bow.
